The search for 2015/16 Miss Uganda beauty queen is heating up after 22 girls were unveiled to the public by Miss Uganda Foundation, Thursday night, at Kampala Serena Hotel.

The night, a bit glamorous, attracted several glamor girls, former beauty queens, show business people, entertainers and models to this event that concluded the regional searches last week.

Frank Gashumba that some police officers claim is a conman had flaunted Aisha Nabukeera to officially run for Miss Uganda 2015-2016 had declared “i personally believe everyone is gifted but most Ugandans never open their package and the tragedy of life is not death but what we let die inside of us while we Aisha Nabukeeralive. Aisha will have all my support during the contest. I hope you guys support her and also pray for her,” said Gashumba. He continues, “We can always be what we want to be as long we believe in ourselves.”

The showbiz fan, Frank Gashumba has been using Aisha Nabukeera as a chess pawn for his games and he targets the majrity of the social media consumers. he has now flaunted her for Miss Uganda Pageantry.

Hosted by former Miss Uganda contestant, Jaylor Birungi, and comedian Ronnie MacVex, the Mirinda-sponsored night started off with outgoing Miss Uganda, Leah Kalanguka leading a session of last year’s Miss Uganda regional winners on the runway.

That was before the 22 finalists strutted the runway to show what they have.

Among the finalists, attention was drawn on Aisha Nabukeera, 20, the girl with a scarred skin.

She is known around as the girl that was burnt by her step mother in 2006 and got shoved into the limelight when city businessman, Frank Gashumba sought public intervention to secure her skin operation.

Seeing her on the runway was like a surprise birthday gift to the audience, as they did not know whether to clap joyfully or just sit there and watch in amazement.

She oozed confidence though, and off she left the stage for the other contestants.

One of the pageant’s sponsors, Samona Beauty products vowed on the night to sponsor her for a year with beauty products.

There were musical performances from Irene Ntale, Jasmine and Apass and speeches from the event’s sponsors and Miss Uganda franchise holder, Brenda Nanyonjo.

The girls will go in boot camp for some activation nights en route the grand finale on July 10.
